Identifying the source of a change requires a clear line between the act and the consequence. This linkage relies on the witness in the room or the artifact produced by the work. Without this, the cost of an error is distributed across the whole team rather than held by the one who made the choice.
If the chain of causality is broken, the person in the seat cannot adjust their behavior because they cannot see the effect of their own energy.
Verified Claim
Evidence must support any claim of responsibility to prevent the rise of unfounded assertions. A record of action provides the necessary data to validate whether a founder or an operator truly produced the value in question. When the record is thin, the credit for success often moves toward those with the most social power.
Assignation Boundary
Limits apply to how far back a person can trace the origin of a result. Beyond a certain point, complexity makes it impossible to isolate one person.
